His practice focuses on cross-border commercial disputes, complex control and corporate governance matters, international transactions and investment structuring, as well as commercial real estate development, construction and infrastructure-related controversies, with a particular emphasis on matters involving both the United States and Taiwan. He regularly acts for shareholders, directors, officers, founders and family-owned enterprises in high-stakes issues concerning contests for corporate control, board and shareholder meeting procedures, governance deadlock and alleged breaches of fiduciary duty. In mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investment mandates, he helps design investment and governance structures, information and oversight rights, and exit mechanisms, incorporating risk management and dispute-prevention tools into transaction documentation so that clients can maintain decision-making control and structural stability in high-risk business environments. In the areas of dispute resolution, public international law and regulatory frameworks, Zack frequently handles cross-border commercial contract and investment disputes, commercial real estate and development conflicts, construction payment and delay disputes, and customs, tariff and trade-compliance matters. He is experienced with conflict-of-laws issues, choice-of-law and international jurisdiction, and has been entrusted by several sovereign states and governmental agencies to advise and participate in negotiations on treaty application, dispute-resolution mechanism design, and investment- and trade-related questions, providing pragmatic, practice-oriented international law analysis. He also advises on the impact of international sanctions, export controls, and changes in trade and industrial policy on clients’ supply chains and investment strategies, and coordinates multi-jurisdictional proceedings and evidence collection to craft integrated strategies that balance legal risk and commercial objectives. Zack is fluent in Mandarin and English, is familiar with the dynamics of Taiwanese business communities in Taiwan and North America, and is adept at helping corporate and individual clients navigate rights, obligations and negotiating leverage in bilingual and cross-cultural settings.
